Hello everybody!

Lots has been happening at Moss!

For those of you who come in for regular services, you’ve probably heard me talking about various parts of the journey I have been on in the creation of the Moss Beauty LOOKBOOK. It feels like I’ve been working on for it forever, but it’s only been 6 years. Well, I’m excited and relieved to say that with every passing day, we get closer to seeing it in print. It’s been a sweet six years in the making and fully necessary to have all of the experiences and growth in order to birth this baby into being, it has definitely been an amazing labor of love. It’s sometimes intimidating to think about all the things that need to fall into place to make sure it gets into the hands of those who want and need it, yet I have have faith in the process because it never really was my idea to do a book. I have always felt led in the creation (sometimes less than others) and it has naturally taken it’s own course in teaching me to love myself and to appreciate women. What a gift it has been for me!

Pictured above is the very first mock up I made. I was inspired by the size and beauty of the Anthropologie catalog, so I decided to paste in things and use one as the base for an initial mockup. It looks like the first, printed version of the LOOKBOOK will be a mix of style guide and storytelling. I want to provide a cohesive visual resource for ladies choosing a new style with beautiful stories that help make a positive playful connection with the vulva while having a visit for a bikini wax. It’s never been done before and used in a professional setting so I am NOT publishing it for the public, it is just for the women giving or receiving a wax or curious about what the possibilities are. I hope to challenge my industry to do a better job of being body-positive and sex-positive which will be incredibly healing to clients and providers. I certainly have done a lot of reflection, research and work on healing the shame and negative feelings that built up in me while I wasn’t looking.

I really want this to act as a community forum, so feel free to participate and interact!
